A half-year after we last stopped by, Los Angeles-based Canfield Development has topped out on its new condo complex in the Mid-Wilshire area.
The project, located at 1323-1339 S. Orange Grove Avenue, sits just northeast of the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue. The five-story building will feature 61 two- and three-bedroom condominiums, with five priced as very low-income affordable housing. Plans also call for 122 parking spaces on two basement levels.
The building will be of the Spanish Colonial Revival style. Plans call for a white stucco exterior, with courtyards and amenity decks located at the ground and roof levels.
Other under-construction projects from Canfield include a four-story, 25-unit development in Pico-Robertson and a seven-story, 73-unit apartment complex near USC.
A few blocks away from the Orange Grove development, concrete pillars now protrude at the site of a former Orange Julius stand, where a Googie-inspired apartment complex is under construction.
