New plans have emerged for a mixed-use apartment complex near the L.A. River in Studio City.
The proposed development, called The Crescent, will be presented to the Studio City Neighborhood Council's Land Use Committee on August 14. Plans call for replacing a vacant senior living facility at Ventura Boulevard and Arch Drive with 106 apartments - including 12 low-income affordable units - above 1,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
City records list project applicant as Mike Drandell, the Chief Executive Officer of Culver City-based developer Goldrich Kest.
Goldrich Kest originally sought to entitle the project as a smaller six-story building featuring 81 apartments - including nine very low-income units - and ground-floor retail.
Additional details regarding The Crescent are not listed in city records.
