A vacant lot just south of Olympic Boulevard in Pico-Union is slated for the development of multifamily housing, according to plans filed yesterday with the City of Los Angeles.
The property, located at 1047-1053 S. Fedora Street, was previously approved with a pair of single-family homes. The application submitted by an entity called Fedora Flats, LLC calls for the construction of a six-story edifice featuring 50 apartments - including five extremely low-income affordable units. The proposed development would also include 25 parking spaces, to be located in an at-grade and basement garage.
The project, which is being entitled with Transit Oriented Communities incentives, is being represented by architecture firm Ferrier Studio.
The approximately quarter-acre development site has already been approved for the construction of a similar project consisting of a seven-story building with 41 apartments, including five affordable units.
A block west at 1047-1055 S. Maripos Avenue, West Hollywood Community Housing Corp. has announced plans for the construction of a 41-unit permanent supportive housing development. That project is slated to break ground next year.
