The City of Los Angeles has signed off on plans to construct a mixed-use building in Sun Valley.
The project, which is being developed by investor Shlomi Asiss, will consist of a five-story building featuring 108 one- and two-bedroom apartments - including to be nine set aside for extremely low-income households - above 2,071 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking for 86 vehicles.
The contemporary low-rise structure, designed by GA Engineering, will be clad in stucco, according to city records. Architectural plans show amenities including a gym, a recreation room, and a central courtyard.
Jasco Enterprise, Inc. is serving as the project's general contractor.
The project site is located a short distance south of the intersection of Lankershim and Strathern Street, where Summerland Partners and Hankey Capital are planning a seven-story development featuring 432 apartments and retail.
