A block east of the Orange Line's Canoga Station, two apartment buildings featuring more than 600 residential units are now taking shape.
The first, located at 6606 N. Variel Avenue, is being developed by Evolution Strategic Partners. Called Evolution Warner Center, the project consists of a six-story building which will feature 271 apartments and amenities such as a swimming pool, a rooftop deck, and a fitness center.
The contemporary mid-rise structure is being designed by Urban Architecture Lab, and will sit behind a street-fronting plaza designed by Superjacent.
Completion was previously anticipated in Fall 2019.
The second development, located on an adjacent site at 21050 Kittridge Street, is being developed by the Houston-based Hanover Company.
Hanover Warner Center, which broke ground earlier this year, will consist of a six-story structure containing 394 apartments and parking for 509 vehicles.
The building is being designed by TCA Architects.
Completion is expected in 2021.
