A presentation given to the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee unveils a new look for a proposed mixed-use development near the L.A. Waterfront.
The project, which comes from local real estate investment firm South Bay Developers, would replace a parking lot and small commercial building at 336-350 W. 7th Street with a five-story edifice featuring 32 apartments, 3,750 square feet of ground-floor retail, and a 44-car parking garage.
The revised plan includes a revised street-facing appearance along 7th Street, as well as a slightly larger parking garage. Other project components include a fitness room, a courtyard, and a rooftop terrace deck.
Construction of 336 W. 7th Street is expected to begin in early 2020, according to a project timeline provided by South Bay Developers. Completion is scheduled to occur in the third quarter of 2021.
South Bay Developers is also planning a larger eight-story complex on a parking lot at 444 W. 5th Street.
