A trio of small residential and commercial buildings in Del Rey has been demolished, clearing the way for the start of work on a new mixed-use development.  

The project site, located at the intersection of Culver and Inglewood Boulevards, is approved for the construction of a five-story structure containing 24 apartments, 620 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a 30-car parking garage.  

A rendering of the project presented earlier this year to the Del Rey Neighborhood Council depicts a contemporary low-rise building lined by metal panels, with open-air decks at the second and roof levels.

City records list the project applicant as Thomas Turley through an entity called 4460 Inglewood, LLC.

Several mixed-use and multifamily residential developments are now taking shape in the surrounding area, including a 47-unit apartment complex on Culver Boulevard.

A few blocks north in Culver City, construction is now wrapping up for a larger mixed-use building at the intersection of Inglewood and Washington Boulevards.
