Earlier this year, developer Jamison Services, Inc. completed the adaptive reuse of a 1960s office tower in Koreatown.

The 12-story building, located at 3345 Wilshire Boulevard, is now known as "The Thompson."  The upper floors of the mid-rise structure have been transformed into a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, commanding rents between $2,315 and $2,445 per month.

At ground-level, the building retains approximately 6,400 square feet of retail and restaurant space.  Parking for 262 vehicles is also provided in existing garage space - including three subterranean levels.

Corbel Architects designed the conversion, which also added amenities including an outdoor deck and an exercise room to the building.

In addition to a robust slate of ground-up developments, Jamison Services has also moved to convert some of its underperforming office buildings to housing in recent years.  One such project, located at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Westmoreland Avenue, has been open for several years.  Others now under construction include mid-rise structures at 250033503540, and 3921 Wilshire Boulevard.
