An eye-catching medical office building could rise across the street from Glendale City Hall, according to a newly published environmental report.
The proposed development, which would replace a single-story structure and a parking lot at 517 E. Broadway, calls for the construction of a five-story edifice containing approximately 35,000 square feet of medical and general office space and 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail uses above a three-level, 71-car subterranean parking garage.
Los Angeles-based architecture firm P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S is designing the modern low-rise structure, which would be clad in a combination of aluminum, concrete, and glass. The building would feature a ground-floor setback along Isabel Street, providing landscaped open space, as well as a green roof system.
Other members of the design team include Sharif, Lynch: Architecture and Tina Chee Landscape Studio.
A construction timeline is not specified in the project's proposed mitigated negative declaration.
Glendale-based non-profit healthcare provider All For Health, Health For All is developing the 517 E. Broadway project. Renderings depict the building emblazoned with signage reading "JANOIAN," the name of the company's chief executive officer.
P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S is also designing two large mixed-use projects in Central Los Angeles - the three-tower Olympia development and the Reef complex.
