The wood-and-concrete frame of a mixed-use apartment complex from Holland Partner Group is beginning to rise in Downtown Long Beach.
The project, located on a T-shaped site between Pacific And Pine Avenues to the south of 7th Street, will consist of two eight-story structures featuring 271 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments atop 1,305 square feet of ground-floor retail and three levels of subterranean for 341 vehicles. Floor plans will range between 499 and 1,423 square feet, with 11 to be set aside as moderate-income housing.
MVE + Partners designed the podium-type complex, with will have a contemporary exterior and multiple amenity spaces - including a central pool courtyard and a rooftop terrace.
The Pacific Pine development is reportedly on pace to open in 2021.
The project site is located a few blocks north of a similar multifamily residential building now under construction at the corner of 3rd Street and Pacific Avenue, and just south of a proposed 10-story senior assisted living facility at 810 Pine Avenue.
Holland Partner Group, headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, has a robust slate of housing developments planned and under construction in Southern California. West across the port complex, the company is now building a similar 375-unit apartment complex in Downtown San Pedro. Additional projects slated for Hollywood and the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood.
