Los Angeles developer ASB Properties has offered a first look at its proposed mixed-use development planned near the Hollywood/Western subway station.
The proposed development, called the Entrepreneur, would replace an L-shaped parking lot at 1657-1665 N. Western Avenue. Plans call for the construction of a seven-story edifice featuring 95 apartments - including 14 affordable units - atop 13,192 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Urban Architecture Lab is designing the project, which is portrayed a contemporary podium-type building with multiple balconies and a common amenity deck facing the southern property line.
The proposed development would rise just south of the 5550, a larger mixed-use development built by Atlanta-based real estate investment firm Wood Partners. That seven-story complex was also designed by Urban Architecture Lab.
Two similar development are planned a few blocks south at the northwest and southeast corners of Sunset Boulevard and Western Avenue.
