A year after we last dropped by, the wood-and-concrete frame of a new multifamily residential complex is now complete in Echo Park.  

The project, which is being developed by Aragon Properties Corporation, is located at 1750 N. Glendale Boulevard.  The five-story structure will feature 70 residential units - including 62 standard apartments and eight street-fronting live/work units.  Eight apartments are to be set aside as subsidized affordable housing.  

Urban Architecture Lab is designing the project, which will provide open space for residents in the form of a central courtyard and a rooftop deck. 

A completion date for the project has not been announced.

The project site is located along a busy stretch of Glendale Boulevard where a slew of other housing developments - largely small lot subdivisions - are in the works.

Aragon Properties is also behind a handful of other mixed-use and multifamily residential developments, including a proposed housing and retail complex on Sunset Boulevard and two apartment buildings now under construction in Westlake.
