A 1980s retail center in Brentwood is getting a new look.
The property, located at 11819 Wilshire Boulevard, consists of a two-story structure featuring 40,000 square feet of commercial space atop subterranean parking for approximately 200 vehicles.
Plans call for recladding the U-shaped building with a combination of metal panels and glass. Additionally, a small surface parking lot which fronted Wilshire Boulevard is to be removed and replace with an outdoor plaza, with a pedestrian bridge running directly above.
City records link the project to Landry Design Group and Bundy Finkel Architects.
According to a leasing brochure, tenants at the property include Mama Hong's Vietnamese Cuisine, a FedEx Kinko's, India's Tandoori Restaurant, Pure Barre, and CorePower Yoga.
The project site sits north across Wilshire Boulevard from the site of the 34-story Landmark apartment tower, which is now being built by Douglas Emmett, Inc.
