In Downtown Los Angeles, Skid Row Housing Trust is now building three permanent supportive housing developments in the neighborhood from which it takes its name. Check out the progress below.
649 Lofts
At the northwest corner of 7th and Wall Streets, exterior finishes are now taking shape at the $27-million 649 Lofts.
The project, funded by Measure HHH, consists of a seven-story building which will feature 47 studio apartments and a 25,000-square-foot health clinic.
Abode Communities designed the building, which is on pace to open later this year.
Flor 401
On the opposite side of Wall Street, construction is also in full swing at the $50-million Flor 401 development - a companion project to the 649 Lofts.
The six-story structure, designed by Koning Eizenberg Architecture, will feature 97 studio apartments in addition to on-site supportive services.
Completion is also expected later this year.
SP7
Two blocks east at the intersection of 7th and San Pedro Streets, the wood frame of Skid Row Housing Trust's SP7 development is nearing its peak.
The seven-story building, designed by KFA Architecture, will feature 81 apartments in addition to supportive services for residents.
Completion was previously expected to occur in late 2020.
Skid Row Housing Trust, which has also built supportive housing in the San Fernando Valley, recently unveiled plans for a 14-story mass timber development at 609 E. 5th Street.
