A block west of La Brea Avenue in Hollywood, construction is now in progress for a new small lot subdivision.
The project, which replaced five apartments at the intersection of Willoughby Avenue and Detroit Street, consists of 10 single-family dwellings.
City records list the project applicant as an entity managed by investor Jacob Cohan.
The three-story houses are being designed by Modative, according to permit filings with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.
A block east, two housing developments now stand at the intersection of La Brea and Willoughby Avenues - both of which feature ground-floor retail space.
At the southwest corner of that intersection, EAH Housing has submitted plans to the City of Los Angeles to replace an auto repair shop with affordable housing.
