Four months after breaking ground, the wood frame of a new supportive housing project from Linc Housing Corp. is rising quickly in Watts.
The project, called Cadence, is rising from a corner site at the intersection of 114th Street and Central Avenue. Plans call for a pair of four-story buildings featuring 64 apartments - with 63 supportive housing units - in addition to on-site services and resident amenities.
Lahmon Architects is designing the project, which will include a central courtyard located between the two buildings. Pedestrian bridges will connect the two structures, which will also include a podium-level amenity deck.
Completion of the $36-million development is expected in 2021.
Linc Housing is also in the midst of construction at a similar supportive housing development in the adjacent Willowbrook neighborhood.
