The much discussed effort to restore the Los Angeles River continues to drive new development in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Last week, plans were filed with the City of Los Angeles for a new mixed-use complex at 3433 N. Pasadena Avenue in Lincoln Heights, a short distance from the Gold Line's Heritage Square Station. The proposed development calls for the renovation of several warehouse buildings which currently occupy the five-acre property, as well as the construction of 410 residential units, 10,000 square feet of retail space and 30,000 square feet of creative office space.
Further details about the project, including the identity of its developer, are currently unavailable.
A similar mixed-use complex is also planned a half-mile south near the Gold Line's Lincoln Heights/Cypress Park Station.
