After more than two years of construction, West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation has announced the completion of Rampart Mint, a new supportive housing complex in Westlake.
The project, located on a City-owned property at 252 S. Rampart Boulevard, consists of a six-story edifice featuring 22 units of permanent supportive housing and one manager's apartment.
KFA Architecture designed the contemporary podium-type structure, which includes two amenity decks, a community room, a computer room, and social services offices.
“When residents begin to move in, it makes the project real for us,” said Matt Mason, West Hollywood Community Housing's director of real estate development in a news release. “We’re all very proud to be able to create quality affordable apartments for LA’s most vulnerable community members.”
The project was built by Dreyfuss Construction and co-developed by Affordable Living for the Aging. Furnishing for the apartments and community spaces were provided through donations from the David Geffen Foundation and the Ahmanson Foundation.
Move-ins began earlier this month.
West Hollywood Community Housing is also developing supportive housing at 1438 Miramar Street in Westlake, and on two City-owned sites in Pico-Union.
