One year after starting construction in Hollywood, wood framing is complete for Skye Lexington, a new small lot subdivision one block north of Santa Monica Boulevard.
The project, which spans a roughly half-acre site at 6517-6533 Lexington Avenue, consists of 18 single-family dwellings.
Architect Farzin Maly designed the houses, all of which stand three stories in height and include three bedrooms. Each residence will include a rooftop deck and ground-floor parking for two vehicles.
At the time of the Skye Lexington's groundbreaking in February 2020, developer Bernal Capital released a statement indicating that plans for the small lot subdivision were driven by job growth in the Hollywood community.
Although the COVID-19 pandemic has put a damper on demand for offices nationwide, developers have still bet on large campus-style projects in Hollywood, including a recent expansion of Sunset Las Palmas Studios and a proposed 10-story office building which would rise across the street.
The project site is locate a short distance north of AVA Hollywood, a sprawling mixed-use housing complex completed last year by Virginia-based developer AvalonBay Communities.
