In Canoga Park, construction is coming to a close for a mixed-use development at 21121 Vanowen Street.
The project, located at the far northern corner of the Warner Center specific plan area, consists of a seven-story building featuring 101 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments atop a podium structure containing approximately 6,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 121 parking stalls in a semi-subterranean garage.
Corbel Architects designed the apartment complex, which closely resembles a conceptual rendering first presented in 2018. The development, in addition to multifamily housing, will include amenities such as a fitness center and a rooftop deck.
The project is listed among the portfolio of Culver City-based Amplify Development Co. The company is also partnering on a mixed-use project now under construction next to Exposition Park, as well as another proposed apartment complex just north of the USC campus.
The 21121 Vanowen development joins a handful of similar developments now taking shape in the northern section of Warner Center. A block south on Variel Street, the wood frame of a new apartment complex from the Hanover Company is now complete, and work is underway for a similar project from Fairfield Residential.
