Local developer G3 Urban is starting work on its third for-sale housing projects in its hometown of Gardena.
The new project, called Walnut Place, will rise from a nearly 2.5-acre property at 2500 Rosecrans Avenue - formerly the site of a single-tenant commercial building. Plans call for the construction of 52 townhomes - including three live/work units facing Rosecrans.
According to a project website, Walnut Place will include a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom dwellings ranging between 1,369 and 2,012 square feet in size. The houses, which will use solar power, are also to include between 2.5 and 3.5 bathrooms each.
Sales prices for the property are to start in the low $600,000s, according to the sales website.
G3 Urban, which is based in Gardena, has built two similar projects on nearby sites along the Rosecrans corridor. Gardena Place, located on an adjacent site to Walnut Place, consists of 40 townhomes accessed via Van Ness Avenue. Rosecrans Place, now under construction on an industrial site to the east, will include 113 residences.
