Earlier this year, non-profit developer PATH Ventures quietly broke ground on its latest permanent supportive housing complex in Hollywood. A new set of renderings from The Architects Collective offers a look at what the more than $40-million project is expected to look like upon completion.

The PATH Villas Hollywood, which replaces a PATH-run shelter facility at 5627 Fernwood Avenue, will consist of a six-story building containing 60 apartments - including 59 permanent supportive housing units and one manager's unit - in addition to on-site social services offices and a small parking garage for for 14 vehicles.
The Architects Collective's design calls for a U-shaped footprint, wrapping a landscaped central courtyard. Renderings depict a contemporary podium-type building, which would include a community room and a rooftop deck.
At completion the apartments are to be priced for households earning at or below 50 percent of the area median income. Rents would range from $509 per month for a studio unit to $909 per month for a one-bedroom apartment, according to a staff report to the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee.

Funding for the PATH Villas comes from a variety of state and local sources, including Measure HHH.
Besides its new Hollywood project, PATH is also developing supportive housing in South Gate and West Adams.
