The concrete skeleton of a mixed-use office development is now rising adjacent to the I-405 Freeway in Culver City.

The project, called the Entrada, is located on a roughly 3.7-acre site at 6163 Centinela Avenue.  LPC West, the West Coast arm of Lincoln Property Company, has teamed with Broad Street Principal Investments to develop the $225-million project, which will consist of an 11-story edifice featuring 280,000 square feet of offices above ground-floor retail space and a 1,000-car garage.

Gensler is designing the Entrada, which will stand approximately 150 feet in height and feature a glass facade.  A communal terrace deck is planned above the building's podium, while a series of stepped terrace decks carved into the facade will provide additional open space for tenants.

Completion of the project is anticipated in 2021.

To track its progress, see the Entrada's live construction camera.

LPC West joins several developers with large office projects in the works for the Playa Vista neighborhood and its surroundings.

Approximately two miles west near the intersection of Lincoln and Jefferson Boulevards, a six-story, 160,000-square-foot development is nearing completion at the Water's Edge Campus.

A block north of Jefferson, developer NSB Associates has obtained approvals for a 200,000-square-foot office complex designed by Frank Gehry.

The Entrada is one of two office projects now being built by LPC West in Culver City.  The other, located at the intersection of Washington and National Boulevards, is slated to become the new home of Apple's content division.
