Eight months after clearing a large industrial site in Gardena, G3 Urban is building out the Rosecrans Place development.

The project, which was approved last year by the City of Gardena, replaces an office building and an automobile repair business near the northeast corner of Rosecrans and Van Ness Avenues.  Plans call for the construction of 113 for-sale homes - including 50 attached condominiums, 41 detached units, and 14 live/work units.

According to a project website, Rosecrans Place will include a mix of two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 1,690 square feet to 2,505 square feet in size.  The condominiums and townhomes will each include two-car garages and as many as three bathrooms.

The gated property will be knit together through a series of private streets and interior walkways.  A common barbeque area is planned for the northern property line, while some units would feature private yards and front patios.  Renderings depict the homes as contemporary three-story structures.

Roughly three quarters of the homes at Rosecrans Place have already sold, per the project website.

The developer, G3 Urban, previously built a similar housing complex a block southwest along Van Ness Avenue.  The company is planning an expansion of the property, which is called Gardena Place.
