In Mid-City, a new development of small lot houses is taking shape on a mid-block site between Washington and Venice Boulevards.

The project, which replaced nine rent stabilized apartments at 1827-1829 S. Redondo Boulevard, will consist of 12 single-family dwellings on lots ranging from 1,225 to 2,235 square feet in size.

The three-story buildings, which include gabled roofs, are arranged in parallel rows flanking a shared driveway.  Each will sit atop a two-car garage.

City records list the applicant and developer behind the project as Westwood-based Woodland Investments Group.

The project is the latest in a series of small lot developments in the Mid-City neighborhood, including two similar projects which were recently completed on neighboring properties along Redondo Boulevard.
