Just east of the 5 Freeway in Anaheim, a Radisson Blu hotel is rising from a once-vacant lot.
Oregon-based BPM Real Estate Group is building the 12-story hotel, which will contain 326 guest rooms in addition meeting rooms, a fitness center, a rooftop pool deck, restaurant space, and a four-level parking structure.
The project, designed by GBD Architects, will stand approximately 155 feet in height upon completion.
"Planned as a four-star 'upper upscale' luxury resort, the Disney Radisson Hotel’s first-class amenities will support the growth of the Disney experience and complement Anaheim’s leadership in the tourism industry," reads a narrative from the project's general contractor Swinerton. "Prominently located near the Anaheim Resort District at Interstate 5 and Anaheim Boulevard in Anaheim’s burgeoning Platinum Triangle, it will be within walking distance to Disneyland Resort’s main entrance and centrally located to many renowned event venues."
Completion of the approximately $115-million project is anticipated in mid-2020.
The Anaheim Radisson Blu, the upscale brand of the Radisson Hotel chain, is one of just a handful located in the United States so far.
