An undeveloped hillside lot in Eagle Rock could be developed with new single-family housing, according to materials submitted recently to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The roughly three-acre property, designated as 4875 W. Onteora Way, sits roughly midway between Eagle Rock Boulevard and the Glendale Freeway.  A vesting tentative tract map and environmental assessment form filed with the Planning Department indicates that the site is slated to be subdivided for the purpose of building 14 single-family dwellings.

A rendering included with the entitlement packet depicts a series of contemporary two-and three-story structures, with boxy protrusions on supports extending out over the hillside.

City records list the project applicant as the entity Leap of Faith Partners, LLC.  The firm's website describes it as "a company with the goal of providing better and more sustainable housing in the City of Los Angeles through innovative techniques, forms and models."

Roughly a half-mile east of the development site at 4900 Eagle Rock Boulevard, Beverly Hills-based Panorama Senior Living recently announced plans for a new assisted living complex.
