A trio of single-family houses in Highland Park could make way for new small lot development, according to plans submitted earlier this week to the City of Los Angeles.

The project site, located at 6021-6029 E. La Prada Avenue, sits a short walk west from North Figueroa Street.  Plans call for clearing all existing structures to make way for the development of 18 homes via the small lot subdivision ordinance.

City records list the project applicant as three entities affiliated with Fundrise, a Washington, D.C. based company that finances real estate developments.

A similar small lot development is planned a short distance north at 6845-6855 N. Figueroa Street.
