In Westchester, construction is in the home stretch for Hanover West L.A., a large multifamily residential development from Houston-based developer Hanover Company

The project, which replaced a self storage facility at 6711 S. Sepulveda Boulevard, consists of an eight-story edifice which will offer 180 apartments above a 210-car parking garage.  Plans call for 15 of the apartments to be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing at the very low-income level - a provision which allowed the developer to exceed certain zoning limits for the property.

A leasing website for the project advertises a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom floors plans, ranging from 600 to 1,243 square feet in size.

Designed by TCA Architects, the building is composed of five levels of wood-frame construction above a concrete podium.  Exterior finishes include stone veneer and wood-tone siding facing Sepulveda, while an outdoor amenity deck will face the western property line.

Completion of construction is on pace to occur later this year.

Hanover West L.A. is bordered to the north by a similar project now being built by Sandstone Properties which will consist of a five-story structure containing 176 apartments.

Less than a half-mile north of the two apartments buildings, developer LPC West is wrapping up work on an 11-story, 280,000-square-foot office complex in Culver City.

In addition to Hanover Sepulveda, Hanover Company is currently in the midst of construction at new apartment complexes in Hollywood and Warner Center.
