After nearly one year of construction, two multifamily residential developments from CGI Strategies are rising on back-to-back sites in Koreatown.
Located on adjacent sites at 837 S. Fedora Street and 840 S. Mariposa Avenue, the two seven-story buildings will featuring a total of 182 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments - approximately 10 percent of which will be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing.
Approved plans call for two levels of basement parking below both apartment buildings, providing a total of 173 vehicle stalls.
Designed by KFA Architecture, renderings portray the Fedora and Mariposa Street developments as contemporary low-rise structures clad in brick, metal panels, and plaster. Planned on-site amenities include fitness rooms, courtyards, and upper-level setbacks to create space for rooftop decks.
Both apartment buildings are expected to open in mid-2022.
The two apartment complexes are collectively the third Koreatown development CGI Strategies, following the Mariposa - a 121-unit apartment complex with retail at 3rd Street and Mariposa Avenue - and Kodo - a 60-unit building which was sold earlier this year for $30 million.
The Woodland Hills-based developer is also planning a hotel and residential complex just north of the under-construction Wilshire/La Brea subway station.
