WS Communities, the parent of NMS Properties, is continuing with construction at a partial redevelopment of a 1940s apartment complex in Westchester.
The project, which consists of three four-story buildings, is located near the intersection of Belford Avenue and Interceptor Street, approximately one mile east of Los Angeles International Airport. At completion, the expansion will result in an addition 187 dwelling units at the property.
GMPA Architects is designing the new buildings, which are portrayed as contemporary wood-frame structures wrapped with balconies.
Mas Construction Group is also affiliated with the project.
The surrounding property features a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, according to the NMS Properties website.
WS Communities, based out of Santa Monica, recently fenced off a parking lot in the Beverly Grove neighborhood that has long been slated for a 16-story apartment tower.
