A 2.2-acre site in Panorama City filled with warehouses and auto repair facilities could be redeveloped with senior affordable housing, according to plans filed yesterday with the City of Los Angeles.

The property, located at 7700 N. Woodman Avenue, is slated for the construction of an approximately 280,000-square-foot building featuring 239 age-restricted apartments.

City records list the project applicant as USA Properties Fund, Inc.  The Roseville, California-based developer previously built a similar senior housing community a block north at 7840 Woodman Avenue.

The proposed development is one of a handful of affordable housing developments in the works for Panorama City.

At 9502 Van Nuys Boulevard, Domus Development is planning 49 apartments for very low- and extremely low-income households.

At 14545 Lanark Street, Clifford Beers Housing has proposed a 180-unit development on a property owned by Los Angeles County.
