A few blocks southwest of the I-405 Freeway in Torrance, new housing is taking shape on a property once occupied by Life South Bay Church.

The project from Anastasi Development, now taking shape on a one-acre property 18080-18090 Prairie Avenue, will consist of 24 townhomes when complete.

At the time the project was approved by the Torrance Planning Commission in January 2021, the Daily Breeze reported that the project would consist of 1,086-square-foot, two-bedroom dwellings, each featuring a two-car garage and a private balcony.

Additionally, a staff report to the Commission describes the design of the new townhomes as being of a contemporary architectural style, with exterior finishes that include wood siding and stucco. The homes will stand 22 feet in height.
