More than a year after breaking ground in Warner Center, construction of California Home Builders' Q East apartments has now progressed to the fourth floor above ground.

The mixed-use development, located at the northeast corner of Erwin Street and Variel Avenue, will stand seven stories tall at completion, featuring 241 residential units atop a parking garage and ground-floor retail space.

The project, designed by Newman Garrison + Partners, will also feature amenities including a rooftop lounge and a swimming pool.

Completion is expected in 2019.

California Home Builders has emerged as one of the most aggressive developers in Warner Center.  In addition to Q East, the Canoga Park-based firm is also building a sister project known as Q West on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.  At least two additional developments are also in the planning stages.
