After six months of construction, the arrival of a tower crane signals that work is ramping up at 1800 W. Beverly Boulevard, site of a new mixed-use apartment complex from Cityview.

Located on the south side of Beverly between Bonnie Brae Street and Burlington Avenue, the approximately 220,000-square-foot project will consist of a six-story building featuring 243 residential units, 3,500 square feet of ground-level retail space, and a 292-car garage.

Cityview is building a mix of studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments, including 21 units of very low-income affordable housing. The on-site affordable units will be provided as a condition of approval for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than otherwise allowed by zoning rules.

AC Martin is the executive architect for 1800 Beverly, which is depicted in renderings as a contemporary podium-type building. Plans call for on-site amenities including clubhouse, a gym, a yoga studio, a dog run, and a courtyard, and a pool.

In addition to its Beverly Boulevard project, Cityview is also in the midst of construction at two similar mixed-use apartment buildings in Historic South-Central and Carthay.
