In Compton, the Olson Company has commenced work on a new development of single-family homes at 1950 N. Central Avenue.

The project, named Blossom Walk, will be a gated community located on a former industrial site on the east side of Central Avenue. Plans call for 29 single-family residences with floor plans of up to 4 bedrooms and 1,797 square feet.

A project website states that each house will include full driveways, 2-car side-by-side garages, open-air decks, and backyards. Additionally, plans call for common amenities such as a private park, a tot lot, and a barbeque area.

The website advertises a Summer 2022 completion date for the project's first houses.

The Olson Company, based in Seal Beach, is not done with housing in the City of Compton. The developer recently secured approvals to build 57 townhomes on a former redevelopment agency property at 250 N. Central Avenue.
