Work has commenced for a $300-million hotel next to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood's Hollywood Park development.

KPC Development Co., a company with holdings in both California and India, is building the project, which the Los Angeles Times reports will be the developer's first hotel in the United States. Plans call for a 13-story, 300-room building called the Kali Hotel, which will be the only hotel within the Hollywood Park complex.

Planned on Stadium Drive next to Hollywood Park's artificial lake, the hotel is to be part of Marriott's Autograph Collection. Officially known as the Kali Hotel and Rooftop, Autograph Collection, 34 suites intended to cater to sports and entertainment figures visiting nearby venues including SoFi Stadium, the YouTube Theater, Intuit Dome, and the Kia Forum.

Other elements of the project include a rooftop bar, three restaurants, a pool deck, a fitness center, 20,000 square feet of meeting space, and subterranean parking for 315 vehicles. Completion is anticipated by Spring 2026, meaning the Kali Hotel will be open in time for the 2026 World Cup, the 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Lamar Johnson Collaborative is designing the project - the firm is best known for its work in Chicago. Sixteenfifty Creative Intelligence rounds out the project design team, while Clayco is serving as builder.

A groundbreaking for the hotel is scheduled for later this month.

The hotel is being built on land ground leased from Kroenke Holdings, which owns the Los Angeles Rams and the Hollywood Park complex. The master planned development is billed as the largest project of its type on the west coast, and will include will surround SoFi Stadium with 89,000 square feet of retail space and 2,500 homes when completed.

While the Kali Hotel will undoubtedly be the hotel in closest proximity to SoFi Stadium, other hospitality ventures are in the works nearby. Those include a Fairfield Inn that would rise on Century Boulevard and the 15-story Arya Hotel next to Intuit Dome.
