Irvine-based developer Brandywine Homes recently broke ground on the property at 1007 E. Victoria Street, which is approved for the construction of a 37-townhome complex called Upton.

According to a landing page on the company website, the project will include a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 1,230 to 1,865 square feet in size.  Plans also call for 96 parking stalls.

KTGY Architecture + Planning designed Upton, which is depicted in a rendering as a series of contemporary three-story buildings, arranged around common driveways and green spaces.

According to an environmental study conducted for the project, its projected construction timeline is 18 months.

A similar project featuring 175 condominiums has been approved to rise from another empty lot less than a half-mile east at the intersection of Victoria Street and Central Avenue.
