Encore Capital Management has broken ground on a mixed-use development featuring small lot homes and street-fronting retail in Eagle Rock.
The project, slated for a property at 4515 Eagle Rock Boulevard, is named Arla - the Swedish word meaning "good morning." Plans call for the construction of 38 single-family dwellings - in addition to seven live/work homes with street fronting commercial space.
Architect Rachel Allen is designing the project in association with Deirdre Doherty Interiors and SALT Landscape Architecture. The buildings are described as featuring Scandinavian design elements and sloping rooftops which echo the foothills surrounding the Los Angeles basin.
Plans call for a mix of floor plans, ranging between one- and four bedrooms, all of which will surround a shared green space.
Brokerage ACME Real Estate is representing Arla. Sales prices will begin at $799,000 for traditional homes and $849,000 for live/work dwellings.
