On April 25, an open house marked the debut of Beach Terrace, the latest affordable housing complex from Thomas Safran & Associates (TSA) in Inglewood.

The project, the seventh which TSA has built in Inglewood, is located at 716 Beach Avenue. The new four-story building features 42 apartments in a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, which are reserved for rent by eligible veterans, seniors, and families.

“The City of Inglewood is pleased to work once again with Thomas Safran & Associates to help steadily improve affordable housing availability in the City of Inglewood,” said Inglewood Mayor James Butts in a news release. “When developers, cities, and lenders come together like this, it’s a win-win for everyone, especially veterans and families that are an integral part of our community.”

In addition to housing, the contemporary low-rise apartment complex also incorporates open spaces such as an outdoor barbeque area, a play structure, a fitness center, and a community room.

The application window for the complex closed in March.

While work is complete for Beach Terrace, one more project from Thomas Safran & Associates remain in the works for Inglewood: the 242-unit Astra apartments at Florence and La Brea Avenues, which will include a new Target store a short walk from the K Line's Downtown Inglewood Station.
