Three existing rental buildings near La Cienega Park are poised to give way to a larger multifamily residential complex, per a recent application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
Slated for a property at 834-844 S. Holt Avenue, the project from applicant Chandler Sooferian calls for the construction of a six-story, nearly 60,000-square-foot building containing 47 one- and three-bedroom apartments with parking for 68 vehicles.
In exchange for density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure tan otherwise allowed by zoning rules, 11 of the apartments would be set aside for rent by low- and very low-income households.
Mika Design Group is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which would include a central courtyard and a rooftop deck.
The project site sits across Holt Avenue from a property previously approved for redevelopment with senior housing.
