A pair of tower cranes have been raised high above Expo/Sepulveda Station, as Carmel Partners continues with the construction of a $150-million residential-retail complex.
The four-acre development, located on the site of a former cement plant, will create 595 apartments and 15,000 square feet of street fronting commercial space. Plans call for a 13-story tower at the east side of the property, with a series of nine-story strucutres lining Pico and Sepulveda Boulevards.
Architecture firm VTBS is designing the development, which would have a maximum height of 143 feet above ground level.
Carmel is also behind plans for a similar mixed-use project at the Expo Line's La Cienega/Jefferson Station.
