Developer G3 Urban has plans for new housing across the street from Centennial High School imp Compton.

The new project, as detailed in a recently-published environmental report, is planned for a 4.37-acre site at 2320 N. Parmalee Avenue. The proposed development would include the construction of 60 two-story homes - including 48 market-rate homes and 12 affordable homes.

Architeyk is designing the contemporary single-family dwellings in a mix of one-, three-, and four-bedroom layouts, each of which would include a private side and rear yard. A small common open space is planned at the northeast corner of the property, adjacent to Compton Creek.

Pending approvals, including a conditional use permit, construction is expected to occur over 18 months. According to the environmental report, the City of Compton is not permitted to block construction of the project, as it was filed pursuant to Builder's Remedy law.

G3 Urban previously utilized Builder's Remedy law to upsize a proposed, but never-built housing development in Artesia.
