Several small multifamily residential buildings near the Beverly Hills Civic Center are slated to make way for new apartments, per a recent application revealed by the city's current project list.
The site, located at 416-418 N. Maple Drive, consists of four buildings containing a total of 13 residential units. An application filed in mid-June with city planners calls for razing those structures to clear the way for the construction of a new six-story edifice containing a total of 70 apartments.
City records list the applicant as an entity affiliated with Lazer Properties, a local real estate development firm with several active projects in the City of Beverly Hills.
The development would rise one block north of a proposed 12-story, 65-unit Builder's Remedy tower planned at 346 N. Maple Drive, and around the block from a city-owned site on 3rd Street which is slated for senior affordable housing.
Other upcoming projects from Lazer Properties in Beverly Hills include an assisted living complex on Clark Drive.
