A collision repair shop in Sun Valley could be redeveloped with apartments, according to plans filed earlier this week with the City of Los Angeles

The project, slated for a roughly one-acre property near the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Wheatland Avenue, calls for razing all existing structures to make way for a three-story, 101,000-square-foot building featuring 71 market-rate apartments.

Requested entitlements for the project include a zone change and mandatory site plan review.

The development applicant is listed as a North Hollywood-based entity called Sahaco, Inc.

A similar apartment complex is planned a short distance north at 8554 N. Glenoaks Boulevard.

Other projects planned in Sun Valley include mixed-use apartment buildings at 7401 and 7940 Lankershim Boulevard, as well as a new pocket park on Allegheny Street.
