Pasadena-based developer Toledo Homes has received sign-offs from the City of Glendale to construct a multifamily residential complex on Brand Boulevard. 

The Nor Brand, slated for a 27,000-square-foot site at 1838 Brand Boulevard, is planned near the border between Los Feliz and Glendale.  Plans call for the construction of a five-story building, featuring 80 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments - including 10 units of affordable housing - above 139 parking spaces in a basement garage.

The U-shaped structure is designed with a central courtyard facing out toward Brand Boulevard.  Plans call for amenities including a rooftop deck, a gym, and a community room.

Nor Brand is being designed by Alajajian Marcoosi Architects, according to a representative of Toledo.

A timeline for the proposed development has not been announced.
