The Bell Creek Apartments, named for a nearby tributary of the Los Angeles River, is taking shape at the intersection of Owensmouth Avenue and Hart Street, where it replaced three single-family homes.  The five-story edifice is expected to feature 80 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments on completion, seated above parking for 66 vehicles.

Mogavero Architects is designing the project, according to a sign posted to the development site.

The approximately $50-million development, funded by Measure HHH, No Place Like Home, and the L.A. County affordable housing trust fund among other sources, will cater to households earning between 30 and 80 percent of the area median income.  According to a 2020 application for tax credit financing, monthly rents are expected to range from $587 to $1,880 per month.
