Earlier this year, Welcome Group, Inc. commenced construction for a new AC Hotel near the Green Line's Mariposa Station in El Segundo.

The project, located at the southwest corner of Maple Avenue and Campus Square West, will consist of a six-level podium-type building featuring 180 guest rooms and amenities.

The approximately $25-million development is being designed by AXIS/GFA.  A rendering portrays a contemporary mid-rise edifice.

El Segundo has seen a flurry of hotel construction within the past two years, including a new Hampton Inn & Suites and a Cambria Hotel.
