In Koreatown, Jamison Services continues with its conversion of a 1950s office building into housing.
The project from Jamison and Arc Capital Partners, located at 3325 Wilshire Boulevard, involves the transforming of a 13-story, 233,000-square-foot structure into 236 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments atop 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Parking for 450 vehicles in an existing garage will be retained.
Corbel Architects is designing the 3325 Wilshire, with Donaldson + Partners serving as interior designer. Plans call for amenities such as a gym, co-working space, a screening room, a golf simulator, and an outdoor deck.
The project is funded in part through $60 million in taxable multifamily housing revenue bonds.
Jamison Services has recently made headlines for ambitious slate of adaptive reuse projects, including the transformation of the L.A. World Trade Center and a former Arco office tower in Downtown. The Koreatown-based firm now has roughly one dozen such projects which are either completed, under construction, or planned.
