Adidas has announced plans to open a new office in Downtown Los Angeles in 2018, reports FootwearNews.com.

The new office - to be located in 31,000 square feet at the ROW DTLA complex between the Arts District and the Industrial District - is intended to place Adidas "much closer to our consumers in Los Angeles," according to FootwearNews.  The company currently employs approximately 30 people in Southern California; the new office will have space for up to 35 employees.

Adidas previously established Los Angeles as one of six cities to target in its 2015 growth plan, the others being New York, London, Paris, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

The ROW, owned by Atlas Capital Group, recently announced an approximately 12,600-square-foot lease with the Anti-Recidivism Coalition.  The complex features over 1.3 million square feet of rentable space.
